The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a highly popular T20 tournament that is governed by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). Champions of the Indian Premier League Through the Years

In 2008, the Rajasthan Royals won the IPL by defeating the Chennai Super Kings by three wickets. The 2009 season was won by the Deccan Chargers, who beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by six runs. In 2010, the Chennai Super Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians by 22 runs to take home the trophy. The following year, they claimed their second consecutive title by beating the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 58 runs.

In 2012, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their first IPL title by defeating the Chennai Super Kings by five wickets. The Mumbai Indians emerged as champions in 2013, beating the Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs. The following year, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their second IPL trophy by defeating the Kings XI Punjab by three wickets. The Mumbai Indians won their second IPL title in 2015, defeating the Chennai Super Kings by 41 runs.

In 2016, the Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first IPL title by beating the Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight runs. The Mumbai Indians claimed their third title in 2017, defeating the Rising Pune Supergiant by just one run. In 2018, the Chennai Super Kings won their third IPL trophy by beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets.

The Mumbai Indians won their fourth IPL title in 2019, edging out the Chennai Super Kings by just one run. In 2020, they claimed their fifth title by defeating the Delhi Capitals by five wickets. The 2021 season was won by the Chennai Super Kings, who defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs in the final.
